Retro Outdoor Equipment are running a 3-day event in the West Midlands next week April 28th - 30th and have sold 200 tickets so will be a good turnout
The green woodworkers they had initially booked for running demonstrations and workshop sessions have pulled out last minute, so they're looking for anyone who's available to run demonstrations, small workshops, etc
There's no pitch fee, you keep 100% of the money you make and can sell your wares. You just need your own set-up and can turn up on the Thursday 27th to set up
If you're interested, contact Zed Shah at zedheadonist@gmail.com and he'll introduce you to the organisers.
Below is some spiel explaining more about the event:
Retro Outdoors Weekend Date: April Friday 28th - Sunday 30th Venue: Beaudesert Outdoor Activity Centre, Rugeley, WS15 4JJ (Midlands) In 2015 Steve Armstrong began a small group known as Retro Outdoor Equipment as a way of increasing knowledge of old camping and surplus army kit Drawn to the "pre- plastic" era of outdoorsmanship, a small group of friends would share their Sunday morning flea market finds and online scores! Fast forward to the present day and with the help of a like minded team, Retro outdoor equipment has become the largest group in the UK dedicated to vintage and retro camping and bushcraft items In 2019 "Retro" hosted its first charity fundraising weekend. Members traveled from all over the UK and Europe to camp and show off their finest brass and canvas It was the intention to hold this charity event every year but due to the pandemic this was shelved Now in 2023 the Retro Outdoor weekend has returned at a larger venue to accommodate more of its members but with the same goal to celebrate the joy of the pre plastic era of the outdoors and raise a few much needed pounds for Martin house children's hospice
