saw filing & saw-vise making: Good Friday 3 April at 5 Port St, Dalbeattie, DG5 4BE

Taliesin is a woodland owned by the community . Easter 2015 activities & courses will likely include wood and stone carving, peg-loom weaving, bread-baking - plus any other interesting skills that can be shared.
A contribution of £10 per day covers lunch and camping on site and pays for participation in whatever courses you wish.

Proposed Saw Activities
• making saw vise - if you want one
• filing saws either at Gavin's shed Dalbeattie, or at Taliesin
• tree felling
• sharing saw skills both filing, felling and cross-cutting
• share hand-powered firewood processing methods e.g.
    o cross-cutting on saw buck
o experiment with methods of human-powered extraction of felled trees
o various splitting methods e.g. car tyre on wooden block
o stacking, storage and transport systems
• plus any saw-related others you care to add! e.g. charcoal making - if you have a retort or other portable kiln to bring, please do so!!
