Butter Knives

Postby nic » Mon Jun 18, 2012 1:01 am

Whilst sheltering from the rain at the Hay festival a few weeks back I came across a butter knife in an antiques shop. Thought It would be fun to make one. First I needed to make a really tight spoon blade to cut the grooves. Took a bit of fiddling to get the section right so the back stayed concave when I rolled it up but I got there in the end.

Butter knives I did at a show this weekend. They work OK but really need a bit more curve in them.

And a closeup - flash is not very flattering I though it was quite a smooth finish until I saw this image.

Those are just too cool. If you get the design down you might want to put them on your site or sell them at your shows. Never hurts to broaden your offerings!
