Working in the woods I don't often get fancy timber. Today I will be cutting a laburnham tho.
With regard the toxicity and beauty of the wood, what should I use it to make?

Cheers for ideas

Hi Paul,

In French it is also called fake-ebony, especially because of the heart which is brownish and hard. So, apart from carving(netsuke style), turning or bow making...
I know it was used for bagpipe.
Due to toxicity, I don't know if it would fit for making smoking pipe mouthpiece or bowl. But for sure nice wood you got there, make sure to post picture when you finish doing something with it.
Good luck with it ;)
